Check Phade's guide to good Anime music videos, required viewing. Those are pretty good. Also, there is a top ten AMV list around somewhere, (can someone post the link?) that is based on members top ten picks. All very good.

After that, well, members have their own top 10's, you can do a super search based on animes you like, music you like, creators, etc.

you can check reviews, etc.

Sounds like you may be on a dial-up connection, which is limiting. Most good videos (not all) are very large files. There are exceptions to the rule, but it is harder to find watchable videos in smaller formats.

Just do research I guess, otherwise it is a total crapshoot.

In order to download you must first find a type of video u wanna watch. People normally use super search to find some vidz using queries such as anime, musical artist, that type of stuff.. You can enter a good amount of fields to narrow your search. Lets say you wanna find a Cowboy Bebop vid done to.. "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence (not like ur not gonna find any ). You would then type in Cowboy Bebop in the Anime field, Evanescence next to Musical Artist, and Bring Me To Life next to the Song. Click search, and a few to a lotta entries should come up. If you look towards the right of the Matching Videos table, there should be multi-colored links that say Direct, Indirect, Local, or No. These indicate whether or not u can download the vid. If ur interested, click on the title of a vid (the blue-colored link left to the member's name) to see the vid'z info. Somewhere in the middle of the page should be a d/l link in green, meaning that it works. And if u wanna download the vid, just follow the link(s), and u should have a video now. :P Sometimes direct or indirect links show up as "prob" under Problem, so u can't d/l that vid. But an indirect link leads to another web site, so u can usually find the vid if u search for it hard enough.
