i dont think [knives] changed. he has seen the worst side of humans when he was a child and i think that is permanently implanted in knives mind. he claims he loves vash as a brother but he was willing to destroy a plant to wipe out all those people trying to get a drink of water. thats quite hypocritical. im asking this based purely on the anime, i dont know a thing abt the manga.

The odds of knives changing and being tollerant towards humans are very slim. I odn't know if it was made clearer in the Manga, but i think it's quite safe to say that Knives' hate for humans is so deeply ingrained that no act of love or mercy will move him. Vash wasted his time hauling his ass though the dessert. However, if vash decided to clout Knives in the head really hard then who knows, Knives may forget that he hates us.

No way that Knives changed man! That sick freak NEEDED TO DIE,DIE,DIE,DIE!If I was in the same posistion I would have first shot off his knee-caps.Then I would have shot him in the shins,and then i would have shot each of his toes off,Then I would get really nasty!!! I'd cut off his balls,and cauterize the wound to keep him alive awhile.then i'd bend his arms the wrong way to break them,then id break all his ribs,cut off his ears,cut off his tounge,and finally drive a bullet through his head WITHOUT FIRING IT!

I could go into more detail but I don't think I would Look Like a SANE person if I did. Knives did not DESERVE to LIVE after what he did to Vash and his friends,No MERCY WHATSOEVER!

and tahts one of thethings that makes vash a great humanitarian character ... teh fact that he did not do those things and infact tended his brothers wounds and hoped that he would change. I did say the odds were slim taht knives would change, but not impossible, who knows ... maybe vash did do a bit of make shift memory erasing and gave him some new ones.

it's possible ... unless he decided he was too much of a danger with his brother to bring him any where near people for a while and just wandered around with his brother to keep meryl and every one else out of danger. But i liek trying to think that he returned ...

Huh. I always thought that Knives died. I mean, I know that Vash doesn't kill (except once), but i didn't see any movement from Knives after he was defeated.
