Magic the Gathering Regional Championship Results!

Post by genestarwind21122 » Fri May 09, 2003 3:59 pm

Well the result of the Championship were fair. Here's what I did in each round: ( W stands for win L stands for lost)

W-L Round
Round 1 vs. Joseph Krause - 0-2 Lost
Round 2 vs. Dylan Brenneman - 0-2 Lost
Round 3 vs. John Hehamilton - 2-0 Win
Round 4 David Goode - 2-1 Win
Round 5 Vijaeh Hiraesave - 0-2 Lost
Round 6 Charles Grams - 2-1 Win
Round 7 Mike Tipping - 0-2 Lost
Round 8 Brad Keen - 0-2 Lost
Round 9 Tom Kupin - 2-0 Win
Round 10 Ross Bower - 2-1 Win

Final Result Round W-L 5-5 Ranking 149th out of 528.

Not bad for my second year at Regionals with a rogue deck or should I say in typical terms not your ordinary everday played deck. The Serra/Shivan Saga will still live on. So I'm eager and I'll say "LET'S GO!" For next year at regionals I'm going all the way. I'll say this to anyone you have to strive and work hard for your goals and believe in yourself.

Well a rogue deck consist of cards that aren't normally played at tournaments. For instants my deck Serra/Shivan 3.0!!! It's main deck is made of 4 birds of paradise, 4 llanowar Elves, 3 Shivan Dragons, 3 Serra Angels, 2 Phantom Nishoba's, 2 Sylvan Safekeepers, 2 True Believers, 1 Price of Glory, 4 Living Wishes, 1 seedborn Muse, 3 Serra's Embraces, 4 Fire Bolts, 1 Nantuko Mentor, 3 Mirari's Wake. And the rest a varity of Lands so as you can tell it is an odd deck but it works extremly fast and well. You can get more detail at www.essentialmagic.com. And at the deck search section type in Serra/Shivan 3.0!!! colors are red white and green. Leave a comment if you would like.

I once played against a guy who used a rainbow (all five colors) deck. He owned me soooo bad.

Course, my deck is a green/white creature heavy melee deck with little in the way of subtle tricks and whatnot, so I get trounced a lot.

Nice job at regionals, Gene.

For some reason, every time I make a deck involving white, I make a stall deck. All I do is sit there and prevent damage and hope the other person draws out. One of my friends has an evil black deck that wastes just about anyone. I made a big beefy green creature deck, takes time to get stuff out, but once I do, almost no one can beat me (unless you can top high power creatures)

seedborn muse and lifeline are some of the best cards EVER made. them with a lot of slivers and it's a pretty damn good deck.

If any of you want to take a look at the deck in more detail go ahead and visit www.essentialmagic.com and under deck search under deck name type Serra/Shivan 3.0! it is red white and green.
