Well, I do realize that. This is not the first time I've been a member of a large forum.

Suppose that comes from what I've said before - I'm a moderate optimist. I like to see things clearly, but have better hopes for them than one would consider reasonable.

This is why I declared myself "Dead on arrival". If the social contest that Majin talks about is in full swing here, realize that I'm not here to be part of that. If "life" in this forum means constant flaming and lack of healthy discussion, then I am "dead". If it doesn't, then there is hope for me.

I'm not interested in this AMV thing because I wanna jump some bandwagon or impress everyone with my mad popularity. I just want to look and see if AMV's are something I'm interested in. If I am, I'm hoping to use this medium to produce fusions which would interest me and finally represent some under- or un-represented artists... But we shall see...

If you've got an opinion about something thats all fine and good, just don't go into a topic and say 'OMG LOLOLOL UR ALL STUPID BECAUSE YOU LIKE MAINSTREAM MUSIC LOLOLOLO UR STUPID' I guess what I'm trying to say is, keep them to the wayside and don't shove your opinions in everyone's face. We've had enough of high and mighty people around here lately and we don't need any more.

Hmm, "Life" here doesnt (normally) consist of constant flaming and a lack of discussion as far as I can tell. Though I am somewhat new here, still.

I dont think liking AMVs or wanting to produce some AMVs is bandwagoning... I think its kind of the point of the forums. As for the last part.... Yay!

I lived through one day here, so suppose I'm staying. Mind you, I'm not making fun of anyone because of their music tastes, and they're good and welcome to listen to whatever appeals to them! If there's something I'll never say - it's that someone should like something that they actually hate.

As I mentioned in some other thread - if it excites your imagination - then by all means...

Realize that I'm someone who likes starting discussions for the sake of discussion, not to flame, embarass or completely reverse someone's opinion.

I think discussion is good for everyone. As long as people can steer clear of flaming as a defensive tactic... I might be evil, but I'm not evil towards anyone in particular or everyone in general.

So yea, it might not be good for everyone, but it's good for a majority. this is what Communism/Democracy are all about, no?

According to libertarian doctrine, no, that isn't what democracy is all about.
I don't know what libertarians think about communism. I'll find one and ask...
