No More LINKIN PARK VIDEOS PLEASE!!

yes LP vids are starting to get annoying. i even made some LPDBZ vids myself but i did those for myself. if you want to check out a decent video with Linkin Park check out my video "The Bebop Sessions" with of course the footage being Bebop. And we all rejoice yeah.

It's a weird request, to ask ppl to stop making Linkin Park vids. I mean, there are great vids with it (Paranoia rebirth is the best Ayashi no ceres vid I've ever seen). Should those vids never been made, just because there are many ppl who use the same artist to make crappy vids? How about a request not to make any more crappy vids instead ^_^. It's just as impractical as your suggestion. If you don't like it anymore, just don't download them. I hardly ever dl linkin park vids myself either, but if there is a series I like, I'll download vids with that series, and I'll judge for myself if I like them or not.
How is this instead: A function with Search that lists all hits to your search in order of the opinions it gets? That's an easy way to pick out which vids are decent, and which are random DBZ scenes with a Linkin Park tune. (Untill some ******s make twenty dummy accounts and give themselfs 10/10 ratings ofcourse, but I think most ppl here will have too much honor for that)

Nevertheless it's the choice of the editor, which song he/she wants to use.

I often wish there was a function that lists hits by number of downloads... or a Members thingy that lists most downloaded videos...

Dude, (to the original thread author) why don't you just shut the fuck up and let people make whatever the blue fuck they want to? Its up to you whether to watch them or not, so if you dont like them DONT DOWNLOAD them. I have to agree that there are alot that suck, but then what about the countless sucky Eva videos, or the Akira ones, or Hellsing, or Love Hina, or Excel Saga, or Cowboy BeBop or......

You see my point? Its not JUST teh Linkinball Z phenomena, its EVERYTHING. And the Linkin Park/DBZ comnination is a good place for someone completely fresh to AMV production to start, its easy enough so that they can get a feel for whatever set of programs they are using, and THEN move on to the more challenging ones later. Geez, my first EVER music video EVER was a multi purpose-DBZ/GT one set to "Stand Tough" by Point Break. It was shite, because I was using downloaded footage, but that was back in late 2001, before I even knew HOW to edit, or knew of the existence of this site.

So just give the Linkinball Z thing a break, wouldya? We all know its a bad combination due to the amount of suckyness it has churned out, but what right have you got to tell people to stop making them?

I'll join Majin in his view of this one.

In general, I've been seeing some disturbing trends which sort of became mainstream lately, in this community... I mean look at it this way - the very reason I joined this forum - I didn't look at any AMV's for a year, I come back - still the same bands, same songs, same anime done to eternity. Attempts to search for artists or titles I thought under-represented - same amount as was last year, often zero. Which is why I became interested in possibly making AMV's myself - just to provide some minor counterwieght to these mainstream things...

...but if the mainstreamity of it all excites you - go forth and downloadeth/maketh what you want!
