Someone had told me that the fifth child was like one of the only ones who expressed love towards Shinji. I really don't understand but I think that was a little weird when the fifth child told Shinji that he "loved" him.

I honestly think the question of "is this better" is a rhetorical question from the creator himself. The idea of living in a fantasy perfect world is great, but it's like...well...the Matrix...it's not real. Shinji chose to live in the harsh reality of our world and although we can hurt each other (AT fields...Hedgehog's Dilemna), it is better.

He (as well as everyone else who decides to come back) comes out with a better understanding of himself and in turn, I imagine it'll reflect in his life. Since everyone is going through that "soul-searching" (as seen in Episodes 25/26), I'd imagine all the people who decide to come back, come back with that knowledge which in turn helps them live their lives better...not afraid of being hurt, opening up and so on (the point of Instrumentality/Third Impact).

As for Kaworu loving Shinji..yes he did love Shinji. Not in a romantic (and this case homosexual) love that everyone seems to fear (and yaoi fangirls draw pictures about). He loved Shinji as a human being..he cared about him.kind of like a true friend. You must realize that Kaworu isn't human and therefore doesn't love him in that romantic sense. He loved Shinji for who he was and accepted him. This is why it was so tragic for Shinji (why he's so f'ed up during the movie). He had to kill the first person to truly accept him and love him (or so he thought...obviously he realizes otherwise through Instrumentality). Make sense?

weird, when wolfwood died ... i don't remember feeling any thing ... but for eva i was a bit too confused to be sure of what the hell i was feeling .. but iknwo that there was something there... what ever, different people with different buttons to be pressed ... but trigun was a veyr good series ... my frined keeps comparing me to vash and himself to knives because of how he wants to destroy the world and i don't and keep tryign to talk him out of it ... weird kid.

hmmmmm...oh yeah, just decided, misato wouldnt come back, too much pain in her life, hence the cross nailed to a post (remember, grave stones in the series were just posts), Asuka rejected it, probrbly because she had found what she was looking for (her mother inside the eva...) oh yeah, didnt feel much about wolfwood's death, but legato death, now that was emotional..........

hated that smirk. So she shot him in the chest and walked away.
"That was for using me." She said grimly.
After she had left, Kaji stood up and took off the kevlar vest he
was wearing. He took care of business, (i.e. - replacing his body with
one of a dead agent, plus he had to use the bathroom; Misato could be
really scary) and walked towards the nearest door to leave.
"Oh, hey Hyuuga." Kaji smiled.
"You'll never hurt the Major again!" Hyuuga screamed.
*BLAM!*
Kaji fell to the ground. Satisfied with his work, Hyuuga went back
to NERV Command. After he left, Kaji got up, took off his kevlar stomach
protector, and walked out the door.
As he boarded the elevator, he ran into Asuka.
"Asuka-chan! How are you?"
"This is for leading me on!!!"
*BLAM!*
Kaji slumped over before falling to the ground. Satisfied with her
work, Asuka stepped off the elevator and made her way home to Shin-
chan's cooking. Seeing she had left, Kaji stood up and removed his
kevlar jock strap. He doubted he would ever have kids, though.
After sneaking out of the Geofront, Kaji decided a quick drink would
be a fine idea. So he went to the nearest bar.
He made himself comfy and ordered a beer. Then he noticed his
companion next to him.
"Pen-Pen?"
"Wark!"
*BLAM!*
Kaji fell to the ground yet again. Satisfied, Pen-Pen finished off
his beer, then Kaji's, and left. After he left, Kaji stood up and
removed his kevlar thigh socks. By now, Kaji was not happy. So he
quickly made his way to the airport, stopping only at 7-11 for a ho-ho
and a porno mag.
"Kaji-san!" Shinji exclaimed.
*BLAM!*
Shinji slumped to the floor. Better to be safe than sorry, Kaji
thought as he walked to the airport.

As people have stated...they both chose to reject Instrumentality and decided to come back to a world with AT fields...b/c it was reality...refer to the other Eva thread for even more details.

Oh God, don't bring back this question again...this trivial, trivial question that people seem to think has meaning...try to make it seem like Misato killed him or Gendo or whoever...like it A) adds anything to the show or B) that there is any evidence.
