But they've tenivley labeled porn for males Hentai, and yaoi and yuri or what ever they are for women.

Like, Sailer Venus ontop of Sailor Moon = Hentai

Heero Yuy on top of Duo Maxwell = yaoi/yuri

Yuri = female/female

actually.. Hentai = General. One person and couples and well more

Shoujo ai = female/female. Usually softcore

Shenoun ai = male/male....no freaking clue other than that.

Ecchi = softcore

shoujo ai is just like lesbo loving not sex afaik, ditto with shounen ai with gay loving. Yaoi/Yuri on the other hand is true hentai.

You're half right.

"Hentai" literally means "pervert" in Japanese, and is a generic word to describe pornographic anime (e.g.: La Blue Girl).

I forget the phrase that "yaoi" is the acronym for, but I remember it roughly translates to "Stop! My ass hurts!" "Yaoi" is male/male porn, and "yuri" (also an acronym, I forget the phrase) is female/female.

Note: "Yaoi" and "shounen-ai" (literally "boy love") are not the same. "Yaoi" is the porn, "shounen-ai" is the plot. Or if you prefer, "yaoi" MUST have sexual material in it. "Shounen-ai" can, but doesn't have to. Same goes for "yuri" and "shoujo-ai".

For being a non-yaoi/yuri/s-ai/sh-ai fan, I know a lot more about this than I should. Comes from having slash (generic term for homosexuality, often used in non-anime fanfic) friends as fans I guess -_-;;

meh, Hentai is general, i just didn't say that.

I may have been wrong wrong with the yuri yaoi type deal, but like said, I was half right. Besides, just how much do you guys think I care?

meh, if anime has a large quantity of detailed sex that has no purpose then it's hentai.

also the presence of any tenticle beasts or other sexualy active demons also qualifies it for Hentai.

anime porn = hentai ... it's that simple for me ... i really don't care much for sub genre's of hentai ... or hentai it's self.
