Pretty much any anime that isn't overly serious will have some ammount of fanservice. An almost surefire way to tell is to look at the characters in it and see if any of them dress in skimpy clothing.

well if i remember correctly there wsa a bit of story in there ... and a happy ending ... by the way, was love hina again ment to conclude the love hina series or was it just a little bonus that was tossed in at the end?

Hanaukyo Maids is the alpha and omega of fan service ... just watch the first episode and you'll understand ... there's a relitivly thin line between fanservice and hentai ... well ok, the line's not that thin ... but it comes pretty close to the line. At least theres no tentacle beasts in this as far as i've seen. But watch it, it's amazing how lucky that kid is ...

hmmm ... come to think of it, will somone please define fan service? I have pretty good idea what it is, i jsut want to hear somone else pout it in words to confirm what i'm thinking

Fan service can be defined, in my opinion, as sexy material put in for no reason other than to keep the (male, mostly) fans of a series watching - or as a reward for their watching. I'd say it's most commonly made up of panty and cleavage shots, with swimsuits, lingerie, other sexy clothing, and shots of "muted" nudity coming in second.
