Well, I like Metallica. I like many of their songs. Though, my Favourite is No Leaf Clover.

Metallica, I USED to like those cock-suckers until the Napster incident. Since then, I've never liked them. And when I saw Behind The Music of Megadeth, and found out that they are rivals with Metallica, I traded in ALL of my Metallica albums, and replaced them with Megadeth albums. Megadeth IS a far better band than those sorry monkey f-ckers. It sucks they aren't around anymore, though.

You stopped liking their music, not because of the music, but because of their anti-napster stance. Yeah, that makes a shitload of sense. Next I'll stop liking Pearl Jam's music because of their political stances.

Never really got into Megadeth myself. The few songs of theirs I've heard I wasn't too impressed with.

As a Ramones fan, I'm sure you have no comprehension of what good metal is, I know I sure as hell don't, it would take a metal fan to tell me what's good or not.

And for all the Metalica fans in this thread that have said, "Well, you can't just focus on the maintream bands" I'm pretty sure last time I checked Metalica was considered an awomse band, what does that have anything to do with the topic? He didn't say metal sucked, he said metalica sucked.

You guys like them don't you? Then you should fucking say so. That's all there is to it.

I absolutley hate it when some one knocks something somebody likes, then that somebody says, "Well......" and then makes crappy excuses to tak on to agree with the first person, tot ake focus off they like them.

I'm sure with as successfull metalica is, they're a pretty good band. Again it'd take me a metal fan to tell me for sure.

I'm assuming this was partly directed at me since I'm one of the ones who said to look at non mainstream bands. First off, I agree that Metallica sucks. I'm with him on that. I've never been a Metallica fan. But in his post he made a broad generalization that ALL current metal sucks. THAT is what I was trying to refute.

So in conclusion, he DID say metal sucks, and he ALSO said Metallica sucks. I agree with the second statement, but the first statement I do not agree with, and I was trying to point out to him that he needs to be a bit more knowledgable about all the metal that's out there before he makes such a generalization.

i like old metallica...before they got soft, and ultra popular

"and justice for all" was the last good metallica cd

but you have to give em credit for being a force in the scene

Alucard, you still go against MY first statement. Dont' say something sucks just because you don't like it. I can take your opinion into much higher consideration because you're a Metal fan, but I think "sucking" is an oversatement. You have millions of fans against you. I think if they have that many fans they must be good.

And Farlo, you're still making crappy excuses. Don't add buts, or any of that crap, all you have to do is say you like them.

the thing is i like old metallica..not new metallica...of course i haven't heard st anger yet...

i guess i half-way like them.....the napster thing has nothing to do with my judgement either
