No, no, no, we can't eat rats...cause, ya know, they're ugly. ^_^
I don't know 'bout that. I've eaten prairie dog before and found it to be pretty good once I got past the cultural hesitation associated with the source of the meat.

I sorta have this goal in eating animals people usually don't eat, but I do have a limit (I won't eat cats...and probably not dogs either :? )

People don't eat people because we live amungst each other. If everytime a human saw another human, they immediatly started fighting to the death, I wouldn't care about eating another human, it'd just be something else you kill and eat.

But just because something doesn'tt alk english doens't mean it doesn't live amungst us. For this reason i could never eat a dog or cat.

If an animal can walk up to me and sit their camly while it shares a meal with me, it's not something I can see myself eating.

Not to mention most animals like this are highly inteligent.

Tasted like rabbit that had been feeding on sagebrush, so I don't know, kinda dry. It was decent for what it was. They had coyote, mountain lion, and a bunch of other game and non-game animals at the meal as well, but I was a bit disturbed at eating the coyote since a Northern Arapaho elder I was working with on the Wind River Reservation once told me that the Coyote was my kin kinda like a "Spirit Animal" I guess, maybe he was joking, he was always rather ambiguous when it came to his tribe's culture. Anywho, I didn't want to test fate, though if I were starving and I saw a Coyote I would probably be far less hesitant. I wanted to try the mountain lion, but everybody swooped in to grab servings as it was perhaps the most tastefully "exotic" of the animals being served.

It was a Wyoming Department of Game and Fish charity game dinner. They hold one every year or so to help provide funding for the Private Lands Public Wildlife Access Program.

that stuff can't possibly be legal, serving things like Mountain Lion.

What would some one have to do to make that legal?

It seems like it'd be quite a bit.
