Green Day / Blink-182
some one made a thread saying 311 had a new CD coming, so I just felt I should make this thread.
Not just one of them, but BOTH of these sueprstar bands have new CDs coming this year.
Blink's CD will be out lat summer early fall, and Green Day's CD will probably be out in the fall sometime.
Since this isn't really news that's been anounced every where, just thought you guys might want to know, for any fans.
From the music I've heared off the new records, and from the word that's going around. The new Green day album is going to sound a lot like Nimrod, and the enw Blink album is going to sound like a mix between Enema and Take Off, Your Pants & Jacket. More of an Enema influence there. The tracks I've heared off the new Blink CD are all fucking awsome. Any Blink fan will love this new CD. As for green day fans, what Green Day fan has a CD they don't like?

I'm a Green Day fan. I wasn't too impressed with Insomniac and Warning pretty much sucked, save for "Waiting". Nimrod I do like, but it's too damn long and has plenty of filler. Dookie and Kerplunk! are both great albums. Haven't really heard much off their earlier stuff.
I'm not particularly a Blink fan (although "Dammit" is awesome), but I'd just like to go on record as saying that Take Off Your Pants And Jacket has to be horrible. I say this because I've heard all the singles and a few other songs off it, and there was not a single bit of redeeming value in any of them.

You confuse opinion with fact my friend. None of the Blink or GD albums are bad. They're both great arists.
I'd have to say TOYP&J is Blink's best album. They really matured as a band, and produced some high quality music on that one. Now don't get me wrong, this isn't my favorite album of theirs, and I can see why people wouldn't like it, or why they'd simply favor another album more. My favorite album is Enema. But if you look at the album on a musical level, TOYP&J is a great album, well done.
As for the GD albums, I didn't like warning that much either, it's too slow/soft. The band said they made that album the way they did because they were trying to become better as a band, and it's as simple as that. There was more expirementing to do, they saw a chance to evolve further as a band than what they were, so they did, the result Warning.
Now tho however, the band's thoughts on their next CD are that finaly they HAVE evolved as far as a band as they can, and trying to go further would be futile. So, what they've done was decided to pick a style and go with it. They decided that they wanted their new album to be faster and harder, and they settled with their Nimrod style, so that's why the new album is going to sound more like Nimrod over all of the other ones.
In short, don't expect any change from GD, just expect a CD that sounds EXACTLY like Nimrod, but with new songs.
And don't say somehting is bad just ebcause you don't like it.

Oh, I'm sorry. I must've missed the paragraph where you proved this. You confuse opinion with fact my friend. None of the Blink or GD albums are bad. They're both great arists.
Why else would you say something is bad?And don't say somehting is bad just ebcause you don't like it.
Sounds like potential. Hopefully they'll keep it shorter. Red Hot Chili Peppers and They Might Be Giants are the only band I know of, off the top of my head, that can make great long albums. In short, don't expect any change from GD, just expect a CD that sounds EXACTLY like Nimrod, but with new songs.

because it is.Why else would you say something is bad?
If you just don't like it, you should say you don't like it.
a BAD musicala rtist would have to be some one like Ana Nicole Smith. Have you ever seen her eprform? Holy shit.
A bad artists sucks at what they do, people you don't like you just don't like. no reason to say they're bad if you just don't liek them.

Again...I must have missed the part where you proved that Take Off Your Pants & Jacket is a good album. If you have some way to demonstrate that it is, in fact, good, I'd be glad to hear it.
Otherwise, I did not confuse opinion with fact.
