Mine's "Tornado Productions", but I have yet to make a vid to live up to the title. I just figured it sounded cooler than "Rachel's Crappy Attempts at Video Editing"

Well, Nailz and I (but mostly Nailz) have Goat Productions. Because, if you think about it, goats are pretty damn funny.
And yeah, a studio name is better looking for an intro and sort of like the signature at the bottom of our posts. No we don't need them, and it usually doesn't mean anything, but they help people associate with the rightful creator.

IMHO, it's best to not have either a studio or creator name on the video. It shaves off a few bits, and it lets the people see the video for what it is, instead of associating it with some name. And yeah, a studio name is better looking for an intro and sort of like the signature at the bottom of our posts. Besides, it makes it harder for the corporations to hunt you down and sue you when the inevitable copyright-inspired witchhunt comes down.

There use to be a difference in the terms "Production," "Studio," and "Pictures," but... these days, people seem to just use whatever sounds better. Eh. I use Pictures because it sounded better than any of the others... nothing more. That, and Nightowl Pictures is an actual registered production company, so... I thought I'd just go ahead and use it for AMVs as well. Haven't been sued yet. Knock on wood.

Whenever I release an AMV, I always ask myself "Would I want my name associated with a crime?" and that usually keeps my name off the thing

But then, I can always tell myself that someday, I'll be great and look back and say, "Wow, I've improved so much!"
I could also tell myself I'm the Queen of Egypt, it'll get about as far.
