The 80s are coming back in style, and I think they're gonna come sooner than later. That'l flush today's metal right down the toilet.

The 80's were almost as bad musically as the 60's, or the *shudders violently* 70's.

the funny thing is that metallica started in 82...before glam got really popular.....longetivity man...glam is lame...too many mullets...too many ballads...too many songs involving sex with goats...its just a bad thing

i blame the 80's for the holes in the ozone layer...bastards with their hairspray

the worst thing besides the lack of talent....SPANDEX!!!

Spandex and mullets are the shit! I ain't down with denim and flannel shirts! I'm planning on buying a "Mullets Rock" T-Shirt. The only metal we have today is this crap like Slipknot and Fear Factory among others. Glam is the best. It's today's metal that left holes in the ozone layer. Lots of bands ruined rock in the 90s, and these days it's just getting worse. I think I'll go over to the CD player now and put on some Warrant (Singing:Where the down boys go, GO!)

Clearly you haven't actually heard anything besides what they play on the radio, or else you wouldn't possibly have been ignorant enough to say that. Slipknot and Fear Factory, along with all the bands like them, are NOT the only metal around, you know.

Metallica was good. Then they sucked. Now they're some immeasurable level of total raunch.

Anyways, in the 80s, they still weren't total rocking, compared to say, Metal Church, Kreator, or Testament.

Just my opinion.

Metal Church and Testament are great bands! You really do know what's hot and what's not kthulhu. I must say, I've never heard of Kreator though, what does their stuff sound like?

Kreator's a German speed metal band. They sound sort of like a more vicious Judas Priest, I guess.
