Your Takes on the Chobits Dub?

I know some of you guys are stuck in the dream world and wish that all your anime's were stuck and stayed in japan forever but I suggest you wake up. Domestics arent just made for flashy Dubs but they also bring out very well done Translated Subtitled Anime as well (Or so my Japanese friend tell me

) not to mention the popularity of anime in a whole from shows like Toonami and Fox Box even though they tend to air crap all the time (Toonami has earned a cool point for bringin the munch deserved Kenshin to the spotlight)

But enough with my ole jazz I just picked up the Chobit Dvd a few days ago and I think the anime is Funnay! Az Hellz! I wanted my own Persocom after watching the first Dvd or atleast wanting the next Volume (which Doesnt come out till may 13th mind you) I love Chii's Voice on both sides of the anime Dubbed or original just the word 'Chiiii?' had me saying 'aaaaaw' every time I heard her speak...but alas the Dub made the anime alittle better for me when I found out when I heard Crispin Freeman voicing the Main character (The best damn VA in the bizz) Other Characters I liked was the other Persocom Sumomo (she so cute and small) And the D-Cup girl who is terribly honest about her breast......buuuut taaaah anyway this is what I give it

Original+Subs=4.5-5.0
Good when you have your stupid friends over that hate the word english and anime put together.

Dub=5.0-5.0
Great voice actors and Great acting makes the anime nice!

I actually haven't watched Chobits in the original Japanese :shockandawe: because I liked the dub so much. I need to do so sometime soon.

I am avoiding the domestic version because it is hard to top japanese chi. I have no plans to watch it dubbed, its the same with almost every anime I watch in japanese first. I could phrase my feelings of dub and sub like this - Its like when a actor drops out of a movie and is replaced, you only know that character to be played by that actor and any other just doesn't seem to fit. This holds true with my view point on dub/sub, if I watch the japanese version first than there is no way that the dub will ever measure up. Its all psychological.

I mean yea It may be true to you but a great deal of the anime I've seen were subbed in the begining and then when I buy the domestic I find the Dub more apealing....buuut since we've had so many other sub/dub war topics in the past around here. you say your message and lets just can that. I just asked your op on the dub and good reasons why peoples should buy domestics anyway (not all buy domestics for dubs...some buy for better sub quality) unless you enjoy watching your animes Raw

I dunno how good it can be... the Japanese Chii is REALLY good, and has a beautiful singing voice to boot.

try watching it then....that's why some of you guys think these dubs are bad because you judge this show before even watching it....but do as you like cuz I know I like it
