What are your favorite books?
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

Stephen King. The Talisman.
Stephen King. The Dark Tower Series: The Wastelands.
Ayn Rand. Atlas Shrugged. (not to say I'm uncritical of her philosophy)
George Orwell. Animal Farm. (surpassed 1984 due to its simplicity and brevity..which makes me wonder why I liked Atlas Shrugged so much)
Stephen King. The Shining.
I'm a bit of a King fan. Anxiously awaiting #5 of the Dark Tower series.

The Once and Future King is a good book.
So are the Chronicles of Narnia.

Eh, broad topics like this tend to be recurring. Poster makeup, and to a lesser extent, poster opinion, will change over time. Maybe a little less frequency is in order, but otherwise it doesn't bother me.earthcurrent wrote:Good, what a fresh and original subject...only slightly reminds me of this one:http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... 101#189101

Plus, I wasn't posting in this forum the first time it was posted.

I would recommend The Atlantis Blueprint: Unlocking the Ancient Mysteries of a Long-Lost Civilization by Colin Wilson and Rand Flem-Ath. A great read. Also, like always, I'm gonna recommend A Plague of Angels by Sheri S. Tepper. Also a great, great book. Linkage to those two:
Atlantis: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ct-details
Angels: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=books
Both of them come highly recommended by me.

The only books I can reccomend are really the only two books I've ever read completely.
Black Hawk Down
&
Jonny
Yes, Black Hawk Down is the bizzle in your shizzle and Jonny, while being a heavily God/Chrisitian oreiented book, I still enjoyed it and that girl is pretty amazing how far she came.
