Yes, I adapted it from what is probably Mr. Lovecraft's most famous creation. I thought it was a cool name, but since I like k's better than c's, and to also stand out, I changed it to "kthulhu". The name can be pronounced, it's just not easy. The one I gave is probably inaccurate, but that's the way I like it.

In the 1910s into the early 20 their was a movement in America to eliminate the letter 'C' from the alphabet and merely make due with the letter 'K'. Popular vernacular won out, however, so we still have 'C's.
Yet, given the rather questionable translations associated with those few recovered writings attributed to the Cult of the Cthulhu it seems not improbably that a 'K' might indeed be proper.

why do people always pronounce it with an A? ... in the dub they ay that .. and that jsut pisses me off becasue of how shitty the voices sound ... i ses Eva, not Ava. But hell its your name ... pronounce it as you like ...
