Pet Peeve
I really have to write about this. The topic here is the importance of KNOWING the SONG TITLE! I cannot tell you how many times I have come on here and found titles that are totally incorrect. THere are two songs in particular that have this problem, "Smashing Pumkins Bullet with Butterfly Wings"-It is NOT "Rat in a Cage" and it is NOT "the world is a vampire" Furthermore, how many hellsing/bullet with butterfly wings videos do you need? Really?
System of a Down- Chop Suey, this is not Called "WHen angels Deserve to die" if you are going to pirate songs, at least do your research so people don't know. Similarly, how many Eva/Suey vids do you really need?
I always check to make sure nobody has done my video yet, mostly because if they have, and it sucks, someone more talentled can improve upon the idea and if it is good, people are just going to get annoyed when I make one.

Oh yeah, I know well what you are talking about.
I actually put up a list of duplicate names in the anime list because some people insist on using the english title instead of the japanese one like they should (and vice versa, I'm just taking a side because I study japanese :P ). It's a database problem well worth attention IMO, as it makes finding stuff a pain in the ass, especially with super search where you type in song titles. Another example with song title botches is Econoline Crush's "Surefire" is not called "Never Enough", etc..

uh, I made a Chop Suey! video and named THE VIDEO "When Angels Deserve To Die"
I havn't looked to see if there are any SOAD videos registered udner the song title When Angels Deserve to Die, but last time I checked there wern't. Maybe you're confusing the title of the song with the title of the video.
I know I credited the music Chop Suey, not When Angels deserve to die.
I'm willing to bet you're confused.

Yes, that drives me nuts. If I ever make a video that happens to be misattributed already, I'm making a new entry anyway under the real name. I don't care.
Just raises a big red flag that they have crappy audio source, anyway... (Yes, I did it once, but I was using an MP3 ripped from my own CD... first video, I was dumb.

And it's not like a pet peeve is ever "Original" most of the time they aren't, because everyone is bothered by them. I just happened to be nagged to the point where I can only complain about them and hope that people are so embarrased by their ignorance that they can scarcely expose themselves for fear of being recognized as a complacent jerk who doesn't want to actually look for titles. Nobody calls "Help!" "I need somebody" noone calls "Smells like teen spirit" "Entertain Us" and these songs were just as popular at their times as CHop Suey and Bullet With Butterfly Wings
On alighter note, a weird thing happened to me when I tried to post this....My browser window just disappeared, very, very, very, very, strange
