From the incredibly down-generation of "Girls With Guns" in my collection, I believe that You Know Who (and, no, it isn't really 'Voldemort') is the one who did that one. YNW also did a Time Stranger AMV to E.L.O.'s "Time" and a Various AMV to "Hair" (from the movie "Hair").Vlad G Pohnert wrote:From what I know, the AMV in 1982 was to the original Gundam series using the song "Mr Roboto"RichLather wrote:I certainly recall stuff attached to my old fan-subbed copy of Be Forever, Yamato that was done by "You Know Who". Apparently the guy was using his workplace's equipment after-hours for editing and subtitling and didn't wish to be found out.
Then there's that Tommy Shaw "Girls with Guns" video set to Dirty Pair...but the very first AMV? A mystery. I'd love to know what source material was used for this alleged 1982 AMV.
The "Mr. Roboto/Gundam" AMV from '82 might be Jim Kaposztas'. He claims to be celebrating his 20th Anniversary this year, and I'm planning on having him moderate the AMV Panel at Otakon 2003. I've got a copy of his reel and it's on there somewhere.
