A question on avatars

A question on avatars
How does one know how many pixels an avatar is? I would hate to have one too big and cause problems...
If Aldous Huxley, William Faulkner, and William Golding walk into one room, can anybody laugh?

Two things:
1. If it is too big it wont be able to upload.
2. right click on the file and go to properties, it should say some where 80 X 80 or whatever the size is.
