Once it uploads (via an FTP program), you download it to check that it's ok, and not distorted, and hit confirm. That's it.

can we use Download accelerators also?

I think i can ramp up a lot of downloads that way.

Hey Lyrs,

Great care has been made to defeat download "accelerators". They have a tendancy to waste lots of bandwidth and keep other people from downloading. I want you guys to download vids, not waste bandwidth.

I'm using regular ol' I.E. for downloading local. When I DL, though, the fasted speed I get is around 25k/sec. Now, I do consider this fast, but knowing that I regularly get between 200 and 400 k/sec on DL and the Carrot is supposed to be quite fast, has me wondering.

Are other people having this problem? And if so, has anyone figured out why it's happening?

Yup... it's just us over on the other side of the pond who are having troubles.

It's nothing to do with the carrot server, but something to do with dcr1-loopback.Washington.cw.net which seems to be the bottleneck for us.

The ping to everything past the cw.net servers is fine.
