Forget inspiration, what do you do... for motivation?

Well I am motivated, problem is time constrants on me and my commrades.

But when I'm not motivated, I kill the dog *farts* I mean umm I mastur... that ones no better well I think I can say safely that I watch some movies or shows or wrestling something to get my blood pumping... then I squirt and get back to work... oh shit I mean then I feel like editing yeah... that's the ticket.

Inspiration and motivation go hand in hand with one another. Without inspiration there isn't much motivation... Without motivation, inspiration will never occur... Both have to work together to accomplish something in the end.

As for making AMV's.. I am both inspired and motivated to do something from what I have seen. Enjoying every little bit of what I am about to create! Basically you really need to have fun while making/creating your own piece of art!! Don't let anyone say you can't do this or that, it will only deter you from doing what you like. On another note... Don't always think what you are creating is the best in the world... Others may not see the same thing. Create it, show it, get input, and find a direction you feel comfortable with. All my videos are crap until people tell me what they like or dislike about them. That helps me with a direction and provides much needed inspiration and motivation for the next video.

Just remember to have fun when you do an AMV... No one knows the true meaning of the video other than the creator him/herself!

I talked too much... Just go and do something fun! 8)

The ideas drive themselves with me, usually. I'll come up with a lot of ideas, some better than others; the ones that really spark my interest will play out in my head whenever I hear the song and really, motivate themselves. I want to see them played out on the screen, and that drives the process.

My enthusiasm tends to flag a bit about halfway through editing, when I've done the fun parts and have to do the tricky or vague parts. Then, I just tend to watch the in-progress vid, listen to the song on its own, rewatch the source, and see if anything new or interesting "clicks". And then either I'll get over the speedbump and go on, or the project will tank - and if it does tank it's usually because I can't scrape together the right shots for the story/idea I want to present - in other words, because the idea just doesn't work.

And that only happens maybe one out of four times, if that. (So far.)
