well Rad, I'm posting from my friends house so I've been out of the loop. Best of luck to you, I know this is hard like hell to do, but whether or not your choise was right, hindsight is 20/20, so you'll know for sure soem time down the line.

yeah, I'm pretty sure this was the only choice, going on some good advice by someone who's been through it.
The idea is that I gave all of myself to her, and now if I don't sever her from me I'll never rebuild that - or at least not as easily. Once I bleed out all the pain and have a life without her, then we can really be friends again and I can seek relationships with someone else. Both of those things would be lies if I attempted them right now. Only after I can say "I don't love you" and mean it, can I continue on. So I begin the long hard journey of regaining my sense of self, pride, individuality, future, goals, and purpose.

You really did the right thing. Even if (though I would not advise it) you guys ever got back together and spent the rest of your life together, it would have to be after she learns some things. Maturity and personal change is sometimes hard when you are part of a set...and you both are still so young, you have some maturing to do....er...that isn't an insult though...at least not on your part ^_~

You don't necessarily have to say you don't care about her well being (a.k.a love) to be completely over her...so don't use that as a mark. You will know when you have moved on though. That L word can have a pretty diverse meaning.
