Hellsing Sequel?

Post by Necopotence » Mon Apr 14, 2003 2:17 pm

I know this question has been asked before prob. Does anyone know if there is going to be more Hellsing made? I see this as unlikey as they have already relase a collectors edition box for the American dubbed vol's. of Hellsing but it would be nice to know. Did the man responsible for the comic strip of Hellsing stop making the books and therefor the animators stoped making the series? It would seem that the anime itselfs came to America with almost cult classic reception.

Sadly it most probable that no more of the hellsing tv will be made. I really enjoyed the style of hellsing, but it didn't go over well in Japan, and the people who did the manga weren't too happy with the Television adaption. :?

I've read the first two volumes of the manga, it's pretty kick ass, it's even better than the series. I highly recommend it.

P.S. But I still recommend the Angel Sanctuary manga more.

There's always rumours of a sequel brewing which are probably false,
but I do know that there is a Hellsing movie floating about somewhere.

There is no movie, and there is no season 2.

Alas, tis the truth. Everybody wants there to be a movie or season 2, but chances are looking slim. If they ever do happen it won't be for at least a few years... sadly...

well, it may not be such a sad thing ... example the way the hellsing series ends it leaves you to let your imagination run wild with the story. if they were to make a second season or a movie there is a chance that they could jsut botch it up ... who knows, maybe the rules about sequels are different in japan, but from my experience sequels have almost always sucked and as a result made people dislike the original ... so maybe we should count this as a blessing. At least the series was good, by the way, howmany volumes of the manga are there? i wouldn't mind buying them if i can get it in english ... even though it would be a good motivation to learn to read japanese ...

Around 7 I believe, I could be wrong though, I've only seen a little (the first Anderson fight). It was way cooler than the anime, but the anime's not too shabby.

i hear in the manga the second fight with anderson is amazing because alucard comes about this close *holds fingers really close togehter* to getting his ass raped. It's supposed to be even better then in the anime, which was also quite crazy, exspecialy how determined anderson was to continue fighting ... better then calling him a mosnter and bleeding profusely on the stairs ...
