E's Otherwise?
I was browsing through this month's edition of Animage and came across an apparently new series called E's Otherwise. Anyone heard anything good/bad about it? Plot synopsis? Anything?

E's Otherwise is based on a popular comic series featured in the G Fantasy Monthly. Born through mutations, possess abilities that far exceed normal human beings, the presence of people who are able to use special powers are called E's. It's the story of the lonesome 15-years-old Kai Kudo,our protagonist who possesses these abilities and once called as E's.
Kai, who has powers different from the rest, together with his sickly sister Hikaru was protected by an organization called ASHURUM. Scouted by Eiji, Kai was delegated to the ASHURUM special force AESES and undergo intensive training.
Whenever he was free, Kai visited Hikaru at the hospital belongs to the organization, but Hikaru's condition never improved. So, one year later, with amazing growth from the intensive training, Kai decides to escape from the organization.

Looks a lot like Scyred, feels a lot like X-men except replace the benevolent professor X with the rather sinister ASHURUM (That's how it's written in the first episode. :p) Esper Controlling Organization.
I thought Shinlu looks a lot like Sailor Moon.
Not off to a bad start, but nothing really ground-breaking about it just yet. The music and animations are pretty nice, fortunately.

Err... lol. I saw episodes 1-2 awhile ago. It has some nice animation here and there, but the plot seems shallow and predictable. And all this "powering monging" thing doesn't appeal to me much these days. =_=
I mean, Kazuma and Ryuho had their alters, but you can't compare that with cheesy DBZish psychic powers.
-_-;
If you want something with "psychic powers" watch Witch Hunter Robin instead. At least that's more "credible".
Still, E's Otherwise may be one of these series that starts off lame, then gets better later on. (Hopefully)
