Empire of the sun should not be mentioned in the same post as Gotff also you can make anti jap stuff because they were the bad guys.

Yeah the artwork is horrid in this series and they draw skanks alot. But the girl in Uncle milos avatar is wackable after you slap her a couple of times.

Empire of the Sun and Grave of the fire flies are the two best world war films of all time. Both taking place from the perspective of children. (but GOTFF was based on a true story so if I had to choose between the two GOTFF gets my vote.)
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

Actually, NieA_7 IS a metaphor for something, and it IS kinda similar to what you were thinking up there. Here's what I have read...

OK NieA_7 is like Word War 2. the space ship is the atomic bomb. The aliens are the americans in Japan.

Eventually, the americans become normal.

When the ship vanishes, it signifies the people just forgetting about the bomb and moving on with their lives.

Well let me put it this way so maybe you will understand. I am not interested in metaphors I am interested in a story. IF the whole point was for it all to be a metaphor then it's really a sorry ass disapointment. I like a story with a beggining and an end. Things like metaphors are artsy fartsy and that's not my style. Geesh they ought to have a warning on the box.

Eh, it's just what I heard :P

When I watched it, i thought it was a pretty funny show... What with the pyro guy, and NieA constantly wanting food, and the curry guy who runs the food mart... I just thought it was a funny show! :P Pretty well made if you ask me... for cheap domestic animation anyway ;)

Ok 1. Non wackable animation.
2. It was funny up until it got boring. That indian guy kept making us go wtf!!! best part of the show.
