Well that was an amusing scene. Saddam's statue being pulled down..then a mosh pit forms over it..I think I saw someone get stabbed with an ice pick.

I find it funny that in a city of like 6 million that only a couple hundred actually joined in the destruction.

Same here. If we were trully liberating them from a terrible dictator, I would expect no less than 5 million people to instantly flood into the streets and dance once the US troops pull down a statue of the dictator.

I find it even funnier that they have to pull down a statue since the real thing got away.....as expected.

fat chance. Saddam is a muslim hero. His reign was just ended by a president who gets his props from christian housewives. Saddam sucked ass and did horrible things to his people and I'm sure they're plenty happy about that, but they're not going to be overjoyed about the scenario and who removed him.

I really hope that Bush keeps true to his word about leaving the government in Iraqi hands. I whole heartily believe that if we try to control the government there that there will be a huge revolt against Americans in Iraq.
