If you can't stop talking to her, you're not emotionally cutting yourself off. You're just hanging on out of stupidity so she can use you for CHEAP entertainment. Don't ever try to be friends with someone you've dated, that's just begging for torment and agony.

The truth, whatever it may be, does not change the fact that your relationship with the girl is over and you are better off. Not to be insensitive or anything, but there probably ISN'T any truth to it. Sometimes people just do things just cause they can, there's no rhyme or reason for it.
I talked to some people today o: including her and the girl who told me this in the first place. Nothing happened |: jake was a jyerk and interpreted her going over to his house as them going out :\ also! jake liked this chick whom he told that he was going out with sam (the chick had refused him) so its like.. an obvious possibility he was just trying to piss her off and make her jealous.
|: I wouldnt give her the benefit of the doubt like that except the fact that everyone seems to agree on that and plus I dont really have any choice. But it dosent matter either way so |: no biggie.

Sounds to me that you and her are exactly the same, yer both more interested in some backward lil 90210 fantasy than you are about cutting fate and moving on with your lives. I mean, why are you even bothering with this shit, don't you have better things to do with your social life...like, I dunno, find a girl you actually love and whom actually loves you in return? *shrugs*
