Pain of Ryoko's Heart showed me how powerful an AMV could really be and had me utterly entranced for about three weeks. During those three weeks or so I watched that video over and over again. From there, I decided to make my own videos. I began wanting to create powerful drama videos, but I've since decided that it's foolishness to limit myself to one genre of video, so now I basically make whatever pops into my little head. ^_^
I have also had AMVs inspire me to do other ideas. Crazy-Ass Violence and Going Postal inspired me to make a mini-video named "Break"-ing Even, which I have not released yet, because it is part of a medley project that I am going to undertake.
I think AMVs in general, though, have changed my life in a general way. I've become much more open to genres of music that I previously did not really dabble in that much, and seeing so many wonderful videos come out from so many people's minds really inspires me. Hell, AMVs helped get me deep into anime, which in turn inspired my desire to pursue a career in animation, hopefully as a director.
I think I'm babbling, but you know what I mean. I hope... ::crosses fingers::
