And second is probably "Sono Luminus" by Erasure, even though it's in their strange androgynous style.

REM songs, especially covers. Michael Stipe can do a lot with his voice in terms of making it fit a song's style.

I don't think there's any male singer in pop music, though, with the vocal range of Weird Al.

Yeah Cheesecake Truck wasn't the best but it is the one I was listening to at the time. I also like Double Fucked by Two Black Studs and The Boy Who Ate Lasagne and Jumed Over the Moon.

Another great vocalist is Nick Cave, anything by him is pretty enchanting, if somewhat morose.
