patriotic? if supporting a war is patriotic than you can shove it up your ass, our president is a mass murderer just like charles manson, once again, i support our soldiers, i don't want them to die, i want them to do a good job and get outa there as soon as possible, do i support america? no, do i support this fucking war? no, do i support the death of thousands of innocents? no, do i wish this war never happend so that i wouldn't have to support the soldiers? yes, see, i am patriotic in my own way, i just feel that the war is as of now unjustified, i mean i think he has wmd but we don't have proof, i mean think about it, just on that off chance that he doesn't... how big of an asshole would america look like?
Supporting war doesnt make you look patriotic. But neither does name calling the government officials running the country.
Now then, maybe you should direct your angryness more appropriately towards congress. The president can't declare a state of war without congresses permission. Maybe if you had smarter representtives and senators, they wouldve put a statute of limitations or a condition on the ability of the president to declare war on Iraq. and don't give me the crap about you didn't put them there, Unlike the president, congress is popularly voted.
As far as innocent people dying? Yes it sucks. we should note the families of those heroes, both lost and fallen. The deathtoll isn't quite in the thousands yet from this engagement that we've confirmed. But uh, as long as we're dressing up numbers, No-one has killed more innocent people than Saddam and the Ba`ath. We're note talking about gunshots and bombs either. We're talking about mob mutiliation, feeding people into plastic shredders feet first, gasses, poisoning, torture, rape, amputation, drownings, blackmail with family . . his regimes deathtoll is estimated in the 200,000 at least. not to mention the local middle eastern terrorist groups we already know he funded.
one more time, No-one has killed more innocent arab people than Saddam and the Ba`ath.
The justification of this war is stated as being that Iraq did not bring to us the world, proof that he had destroyed his weapons. Let me clarify. WE didn't have to go find them to prove our case;
they had to bring them to us as proof of distruction. Also, not only did this include wmd, which was hundreds of thousands of gallons of chemicals, but almost all other weapons that could be used in an offensive rather than defesnive engagement. Including almost all types of guided missles.
Once again, the resolutions to the cease fire back in the 90's stated it would take him 15 days to disarm all the weapons we told him to, and then provide proof of their destruction. The US concession was that if this happened, we wouldn't advance on Baghdad. Saddam agreed to this in the resolution because he could get to stay in power.
he didn't live up to his end, so we continued the hostilites we left off with.
We've (military)already seen him torture and execute POWs. We've seen him enourage suicide bombings using civillians. We've seen his army open fire on civillians while fighting with us. now thats just war crimes.
Now you need more justification? He's already used the weapons he said he didn't have. Not only did Hans Blix find missles they said they didnt have before this started, they also said they didn't have any other missles like those found. That leaves the questions of whats being shot at Kuwait every other day.
if you hate Bush, thats your agenda. I just think you should present a more intelligent arguement against the war to try and convince people of your views. Your arguement sounds like nothing more than "I hate bush bush sucks bush is that which is evil."
Thats not terribly convincing.
