Help me choose a good Anime Movie!!!

I saw Utena, Escaflowne and Ah! My Goddess MOvies before seeing any episode of its series... and with the exception of Ah! My Goddess, they were retakes on the series.

Each of them are good in different ways... I can't really comment on the Escaflwone Movie Vs TV because I've only seen parts of the godawful Fox version... which in that case the movie wins.

That was one of the most painful experiences for me...although Kenshin on CN is coming close (and I'm not even watching...just reading the edits).

D00d you seriously need to watch the series uncut and subtitled (Maaya Sakamoto is my favorite female VA and Tomokazu Seki is my favorite male). It's my favorite show and I'm 90% sure you'll love it

Hell, if you liked the movie, you will DEFINITELY like the series since it goes into more details, develops things more and is more epic. Essentially if you liked what you saw, you're bound to like the same thing, but majorly upgraded (although the movie came after and is a retelling). If you ever get the chance or have the money...I wholeheartedly recommend it.
