Looks like someone needs to study religion as well.

There are more religions than christianity.
You can be spiritual without being christian.
You can be spiritual without being religious.

I take offense to this statement.

Can someone tell me why we didn't go to war with France when the goverment realized THEY actually HAD nuclear weapons?

First define 'patriotic.' Blindly supporting our nation's leaders is 'not' patriotic. If that was the case, those 'patriots' of the Revolutionary War would have merrily gone along with the King of England and we'd today we'd probably be part of the British Commonwealth.

Third, this is a public forum, if you wanted to keep this conversation between yourself and Buddykiller you should have PMed him. It is relatively easy to do.

unfortunatly if all you did was ask, this thread wouldn't have become the mess it has.. see the thing is, you don't ask 1 question in 1 paragraph.. especially when you add comments and then expect it to be a 1 on 1 retort.. if you really wanted it like that (1 on 1).. then there is such thing as a PM box I would suppose for things like that. not an open thread where everyone can not only see (which is assumably your intention, but also post in) from which then BK's "fan club" comes in to argue with him some more, and then you got another swamped mess of a thread..

but hey.. I guess thats just how it happens.. but what ever happened to "thats just my opinion and I have reasons for them" and leave it at that? jeez.. such inquirers you people happen to be..

I never knew of a single person who had to explain themselves like he does.. of course he wants to explain himself to spread his ideal I guess.. but then he gets himself involved in these messy threads.. which from talking with him, I don't suppose he would like since they are time consuming.. but thats his choice I guess..

I think what he means is France doesn't have any oil, we do. Even if The entire world cuts us off, we could support ourselves a while, France DEPENDS on imports. Why go and piss off your biggest supplier? If France goes to war with Iraq, they'll have no more oil, I think this is what he was saying.

Even tho that's something big to pay attention to, i'm sure France could still go to war if they wanted to, there are plenty of other people to give them oil.

France has always wanted to be a super power, and we're only where we're at today because of them. Basicly France is jelous of us and Brittain, and they're being little bitches simply because they don't want to help, and they're not being threatened. Iraq isn't really concerned with ANY north western European country. The only reason England is threatened now is because they joined forces with us, if they didn't give a shit, neither would Iraq. I think France knowing this about the continent decided to stay out, and that it wasn't there problem. Also with the added bonus of being to say fuck you America.
