I just started watching Rurouni Kenshin

I just started watching Rurouni Kenshin and I have read two version of who Tomoe was. I heard she was his wife he killed and then I heard she and him where in love and seeing each other but weren't married. I mean I know he accidentally killed her but I would like someone to help by telling which one she was because I am so confused and I would like to have it right.Thank you if you can help me.

Do you want the "Manga" version (real version)? In the manga, Kenshin and Tomoe are married. This is one of the things that is different between the Manga and Anime which I think is very important. It isn't like a ceremony-like marriage, but throughout the manga he refers to Tomoe as his wife. It may not be "official," but it is widely accepted they are married.

They were hiding together. They were not married, but we posing as a married couple. I am sure Kenshin would have married her if he had a chance.. and she might have done the same for him.. but instead, they had a tragic end to their relationship.

yeah, i havnt read all of the manga, but in the anime they are going under cover as husband and wife selling medicenes

IN THE MANGA.... which is the thing the creator drew in the first place.
