What is Scryed?

I've seen the whole series, and am watching it again just for the heck of it, and I've yet to figure out what the title means. Is it some Japanese word or term? What does "scryed" mean?

Scryeing is a form of divination through means of a object or tool, usually in reference to the occult. It is an english word.
