Thats the way the Oscars works... most of the time you get rewarded its for past achievements that they missed.

What about Kimba the White...I mean the Lion King? Not to say the production value was bad or the story, just that it was a complete copy of an anime and didn't even give it credit. Was it a bad movie? No, it was not... Lilo and Stitch, during the first half was pretty good... and then everything fell apart.
