Nadesico, your opinions

Post by AtomicWeezleman » Sun Mar 23, 2003 6:06 pm

Ok, i know it hasnt been a week yet, but got bored and descided to start a new thread. So people, your thoughts on Nadesco if you please.

I myself thought it was a fairly good series, but thought the ending could have been better, if not a bit less predictable althought i havent seen the film, i want to by the way, does anyone know if they will ever make, or have made a series 2 like it mention at the end of episode 26???

I guess I'll start with a fairly non-explain response (i'm tired :-P). I found the show slightly enjoyable, but over-rated. I say this because Nadeisco was the #1 anime of all-time for a number of weeks according to Newtype Japan (after it's release). It was alright, but I came in expecting too much.

The story was mediocre, the characters and their motivations were nothing spectacular and the animation was subpar (I know someone will talk about Ruri here...she's cool, but been done). However, the idol-singing episode and the training video were funny :).

She's so naugthy and needs a spanking. BTW, I really enjoyed Nadiesco up until that horrendous and incomplete ending. :|

The ending is made up for in the movie only to have a bad ending for the movie.

Nadesico is one of the bigger dissapointments in anime. The ending to the first season was pretty vague and it didn't end the war. The movie is bad because it just opens up another plot and leaves you hanging. This is the same thing that happened with captain tylor. I think the animation is excellent for the series but really is ugly in the movie. As for Ruri I would like to know where she has been done before. A little girl with a mind that is used as a sex object that always calls everyone Baka.

Yeah, but I said it was mediocre, never said it was bad or good.

Nadesico is all the goods

I own that on DVD, didn't know there was a movie though, guess best to avoid it.
As for overrated, i didn't know anything about it before i watched it, actually the only thing i did hear heaps about was Bebop which i didn't find all to impressive.
Guess its good never to really hear any hype about a series.
Although, these days, i even have access to that anime mag, and host of online sourses.
Still, no one really mentions things i haven't seen.

Ruri was aswome, she made me go to subtitles rather then dubbing.
As for Ruri I would like to know where she has been done before. A little girl with a mind that is used as a sex object that always calls everyone Baka.
I was dissapointed, i was hoping for something more insulting/perverted and entirely wroung as i've come to expect when reading Mroni's posts.

Nadesico reminds me of cookies. I don't know why.
Whenever I see suppose I think of nipple.
