yes, i've noticed that Alucard is dracula spelled backwards ... i noticed that when i was playing castelvania ... as for the .50 AE ...well when it comes to small arms i like the idea of having a disgustingly over powered weapon that is somewhat easily concealed. But long arms are a totaly different story ... bigger isn't neccesarly better ... exspecialy when your doing long distance shots with a rifle ... but it's mostly a matter of preference ... yea ... i guess i read too much gun literature ... And yes, vashes gun is a very intersting gun, though the bullets seem somewhat small for the amount of poser that gun puts out... the bullets barely look like .357's ...

opps forgot ... i don't think the dessert eagle is very easy to find in .45 it would ahve to be customly smithed ... the only callibers i've seen it in are .357 mag, .44 mag and .50 AE. So if you want a .45 you'd have to either shell out a bunch of cash to have a custom smithed Dessert eagle or settle for another gun.

Well, there is the Baby Eagle, but I don't see much point to owning one, as there are other, potentially better .45 pistols out there.

When you think Magnum Research and Desert Eagle, you think of the .357 to .50 AE pistols - which are few and far between as brands go :D .

Brrrr... scratch that, I'm a moron.
I meant .44 Magnum. As far as I know, there's the 357, the .44, and the .50AE
I like the Idea of the .44 better, but considering I've never shot a DE, I can't really decide. The .50AE is cool too.

But the 10-inch barrel looks awful...

Oh, and do any of you know the difference between Mark VII and Mark XIX DEs?
I like bugging people. Deal with it.

I think the XIX models are offered in multiple calibers (and can be easily changed to accept those different calibers). The Mark VIIs are .44 Magnum only, I think.

yes, teh mark XIX did offer several calibers, but teh most common ones were .357, .44 and .50 AE ... one of the nice features that the DE's ahd was that the rim on a .50 AE cartrige was the same size as the rim on the .44 cartrige, so to change the dessert eagle to a .50 AE from a .44 all you had to do was buy the .50 AE barrel rather then get a new action. But yes, yoru also right, the 10 and 14' barrels look terrible ... however they do help with accuracy and offer a very slight boost to bullet velocity. But the velocity gain is extreamly small and makes almost no difference. And the mark VII's ... i think were in .41, .44 and possibly .357 ... yea i know, .41 very strance, but apparantly it's somewhat common in Isreiel (which is where the dessert eagles were first made, Magnum Institues only imports the guns)
