SpPanda: Setting the record straight...

Hey All,

There seems to be some confusion about the recent banning of SpPanda. This note is intended to set the record straight.

SpPanda was banned for being an out-of-control troublemaker. When he was allowed to return, he immediately started making trouble again, thus he was rebanned. Since he obviously did not learn anything from the previous banning, this ban length will be longer. If, when he returns again, he starts making trouble again, he will be banned for an even longer period of time.

I am currently the only admin at this site. Nobody at this site (except me) has the power to ban anyone. Any banning/unbanning is entirely up to me.

I hope this clears things up.

Daniel said that it was because of somethign Hsien said or did. While I'm not going to say that I believe/agree with him (because he certainly does have a reputation) I would at least like it if you would clerify that small point there.

O_O Interesting theory, seeing as how I am not, by any stretch of the imagination, the only member of this site who has voiced my distaste for him. Like with the DDR Project fiasco long ago, I find it interesting that my name always comes up in the middle of these debacles, even though I'm usually only marginally involved. Yes, I called SpPANDA names and told him to shut up shortly before he was banned. But I fail to see how this makes me the culprit in this situation. If I had the influence to ban him, wouldn't I just shut him up myself instead of telling him to shut up?

I don't know Phade's exact reasons for banning him, but now that he's taken his spite further and started harassing me on one of my own personal sites, I'm inclined to believe that Phade did the right thing.

Errr... yeah, I guess. You'll excuse me if I'm still really confused about what happened, but, yeah. I think if we all just sat down in a room at a convention or something face to face everything would work so much more smoothly. Daniel is a bit easier going in person, that's for sure. Besides, people are forced to have manners irl. ^_^
Anyway, he wrote up a whole letter telling his said of the story last night, and I read through it. I'm not willing to disqualify his feelings/opinions at this point because there is still a huge "benefit of the doubt" as it were.

I doubt Kusoyaro's flame really had anything to do with the ban. If anything it's the fact the SpPanda created that threaddispite it being dead. However I don't see how this should result in a ban... this is what I would like clarification on.

Well, there's a new rule that Phade added a couple of weeks ago:
"Do not abuse your site and forum privileges. Abuse will have them taken away."

Purposely reviving or reposting a dead thread probably falls into that category. Also, from what I read of the thread, it was a pretty obvious ploy to stir up trouble and antagonize the mods. Granted, these probably aren't normally banable offenses, but the fact that he apparently did this immediately after being allowed back on sort of shows that he had no intention of "behaving."

well to my knowledge, only 2 people have ever been banned from this website....

SpPankME was just added to the list of ban....
