Yes, I realize you may have a point, but again, it's Phade's site so he can do what he wants..If we don't like it, we can talk to him or leave... I'm not defending anyone with this, just pointing out the facts...

well all I plan to do is protest the banning of panda. outside of that I have left. And I think that there shoudl be another a-m-v.org made to give phade cometition since right now he does have a kind of monopoly.

If people think there are issues with the moderators, then they should talk to Phade and he has to talk, remove, etc... to them.... This still is a private run site owned by Phade, so he's the one to deal with any issues in the end...

I can see the logic in keeping the mods identities secret, but I think the flaw in the system (assuming panda's telling the whole truth) is that phade is or at leas' in this case was unwilling to listen when someone has an issue wit a mod.
The pain in the ass that comes wit bein' a higher power is y'kinda obligated to make sure those you choose to enforce your will are doin a fair job of it. That includes hearin' out the plight of the little people. Phade chose not to do this an' instead simply blew off Panda, assuming the mod in question was right wit'out considering he might have been unfair in the issue. (Which goin by what I know, I think he was.) In this, phade was wrong, yo.
Wit' that in mind, the mods are no longer moderators, they' those who have the option to be faceless bullies who can do pretty much whateva' they want an' enforce their own beliefs rather thafairness. "Well I don't like that guy's attitude, so I'll edit his post...", that kinda crap.

Well there IS an animemusicvideos.com, but is' basically jus' a 'no frills' AMV database. I once typed it in instead or '.org' by accident, an' thought phade had gone an overhauled the site on us. =P

I posted this in offtopic, but it seems equally relevant to the current discussion in this thread:

I have a couple issues with SpPanda's positions:

phadeguy (8:14:50 PM): Here, let me refresh your memory.
SpPanda zZz (8:14:50 PM): ?
phadeguy (8:14:53 PM): http://animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=289
SpPanda zZz (8:15:07 PM): There shall be no posts containing or on how to obtain warez, crackz, serialz, porn/hentai, or downloadable anime episodes. You will be banned without warning for such posts
phadeguy (8:15:23 PM): ...continue...
SpPanda zZz (8:15:25 PM): now what rules am i breaking?

It should have been clear to Spp that asking for ROMs was a violation of this rule, and that that's what got him banned the first time. I don't know why Phade had trouble clearly articulating that, I can only guess that he was too irritated to do so. I also doubt whether or not Spp would have acknowledged it had he done so.

"How to obtain" = asking for.
Is that so hard to understand?

That said, I've seen people practically brag that their copy of premiere wasn't legal, and get away with it. I'm still surprised when they don't get banned for it.

Also, posting and viewing threads takes bandwidth, which costs money. Spp admitted, it seems, to posting the same thing 47 times. I personally never saw that myself, but I can tell you, if that happened on any of the other boards I frequent, the admins would slap a permanent ban on the offender immediately, and delete the threads.

It can be argued that there's no particular rule against doing that, but is it really necessary to put a specific rule in place that says "No spamming the same thing over and over in many different threads by the same poster?"

Please. That's just common sense.

I must conclude that SpPanda either wanted to be banned for some reason or has some sort of other issues.

Tommy you hide a great deal of intelligence in that rough image of yours. Good points all around.

the flaw in inviso mods is that other people can get blamed for being mods. Better to have the berson resonsible branded than some defences innocent.

FC, we're protesting the second ban.
