Should Professional AMVs be cataloged here at .org ?
I know that "On your mark" already put in the database, but what about
White reflection (music by two-mix, made by Gainax),
and Daft punk's clips ?
Are these videos "off topic" ?
Should professional AMVs be cataloged ?

That's an interesting question. I've seen it come up in these forums a long time ago. I can't find the thread though...
It asked about weather professional videos should show up in the top 10% videos list.
On Your Mark is still sitting on that list at #61, although it used to be at #2 way back when (which sparked the conversation). #1 was occupied by "This is Otakudom" which I believe wasn't even a music video.
As for your question, I don't have an answer. This database is filled with all kinds of videos. Many of them don't have anime in them. I've seen matrix vids, LOTR vids, and many other non anime ones. If you are going to allow those, you can't discriminate against the pro vids, IMHO.

A while back, Phade said that music videos about anything were permitted, including live action, I have two catalogued under that. Now, while I would say those videos being "Anime" still, it runs a problem with the live action videos. If we allow fan based live action and anime, and we allow proffesional anime, why don't we allow proffesional live action? You see the problem, proffesional live action is now off on a far tangent from the site's purpose but thanks to the cluase in either end it would be allowed. So in my opinion, the site should stick with fan works.
