the dog was trying to protect him and fell over on top of him. easy, no, but careless happenstance brought on by the kid thinking that he was being attacked.

besides, i don't think the movie was meant to be taken so literally; much like religion. sure, there may not be a god up in heaven, but what the bible teaches is good; what's so bad about being good and having something to look forward to?

Signs was a great fucking movie, if you didnt get it, then the problem is with you. For all of you didnt, ill give you a clue. THE MOVIE WASNT ABOUT THE ALIEN INVASION!! Every single person I know with the exception of one, who didnt like it, didnt like it cause of how they resolved the alien thing and thought that was the point of the movie. The aliens were really just a plot devise. The point of the movie was something completely different.

Unbreakable was a good movie too, although I could understand it not being for everyone.

look, i don't like it when people say that other people don't like whatever they like because it 'doesn't make sense' to them. all the people who don't like signs like it for a legitamate reason, and you can't just say that it was a good movie because they didn't know what it was really about. if that were true, it's the directors fault for making it too hush-hush to begin with.
