No, growling is not singing. Unfortunately, I can sing like Dani too. Only when I'm pissed at his crappy music though. >_<
I can sing pretty decent. I can sing like Maynard from Tool when he's not being quiet, it's easier that way. I sang for my brother's band sometimes, too. But lately, I've just been getting closer and closer to Hansi Kursch (Blind Guardian) and Russel Allen (Symphony X). Hansi's hard to do because his voice changes so much but I can do Russ's deeper vocals pretty well.

Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

Because power and prog metal are more clearly fantasy derived than black or death metal. And since anime is more similar to fantasy or sci-fi than it is to... say, being disembowled, most stray towards power metal. And anyway, I like some black/death. Like Opeth. Just not Cradle of Filth. And there aren't that many power/prog metal fans that I know of... I can count seven including me.buddykiller wrote:i've noticed that there are a majority of power metal fans that are into anime but very few black/death metal fans... why is this???

Japanese are good musicians, can't say much about vocals but its funny, and they really do add the emotion to it. Yukinojo Mori I think composed some really awesome lyrics that only sound good japanese. And some band called Hyde who made rainbow, thats really funny (the voices that is, Samurai x motion picture, beginning song)
