So, I register at last...

I've been browsing here for a couple of days, and it looks like a pretty fine place ya got here!

So, howdy. 8)

I've recently (well, a few months back) got into AMV creation after seeing many a music video off the Internet, and getting a new PC with Ulead Video Studio already installed. So, I've been having a blast with it, and created a few 'interesting' ones.

Final Fantasy is my speciality, but I strive to make original ones

. I know there's a lot out there, but as I said, I make them original, not the typical all-action clips. My first 'good' one is to Oasis - D'you know what I mean? - 8 minutes long, which was quite a challenge, and took countless days of editing and re-editing, but now...I'm finished

. When I get it hosted, I'd like to get some opinions. Until then, it's on Kazaa...

And I'd also like to give some, which is another reason I registered. I've seen a lot of great videos around, so now I'll be off for some commenting.

Anyway, long post I know, but I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and seeing some AMV's!

I try to get them myself when I can. Although it can be tricky...

By the way - why is downloading clips so frowned upon here? Don't flame me please, I just wonder...

1. bad-horrible quality
2. even more illegal then amvs
3. something about something...[scratches head]

ok basicly we have to support the anime community. that means buy anime so companies have more money to produce more anime. there by making anime a serious genre of movies and televised shows.

and by making anime more popular we wont be sterotyped as losers who still live with their parents who cant grow up and end up watching these "cartoons"

LoL, I see. I'll make a bigger effort to rip them myself now then. I suppose it makes them a lot more consistent too.

Sorry to double post, but I just found at how to rip the movies properly! Now I'm going to redo my whole video. It'll be a lot better now. I don't think I'll ever download content again...thanks for explaining.

I wouldn't worry about long posts. Normally it helps show that you know what you're talking about.

Originality is always good, but I find that some of the most important areas are capture quality, and song. I normally find myself watching vids that may have been done quite a fews times, but if I like the music and anime, it's all good. It may be DBZ to Linkin Park, but if it's well done, what do I care? Though then again... a well done one is actually original... LOL!
