Has any one tried browsing the memberlist lately?
I know i'm new here and all, but i was going through the member list, and i noticed that it is awrully long ... something like 1770 pages. In the general anime board somone said that Kamoc had one of the best Avatars, so i was curious and wanted to see ... i dodn't ntice him on the board any wehre so i looked in teh member lsit ... bloody hell was it ever long. I gave up trying to use the little numbers on the bottom and jsut started typing random numbers at the end of the url and i eventualy found it ... i guess it was worth it ... i got a good laugh out of that.
But the reason why i'm bringing this up is i'm wondering, dose having such a huge list of people by any chance slow down or degrade the performance of the site? Because i was looking around and the vast majority of the accounts i saw had no posts and were pretty old. If having all these accounts or profiles on record happens to degrade the sites performance, somone should have the power to delete stagnant accounts ...but then again, this issue has probably been brought up befor, and if it was actualy an issue that would compromise the sites performance i guess somone would have delt with it by now ... meh, i was jsut curious ...

yes, I noticed that too, phade will never do anything about it, he wasnt it nice and inconvienient like that, you can't search for a user, ora anything like that, just go through page after page.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

Um, I think this is where a mod should step in and make comments about why you are only supposed to have one account per person. Clutters the system, as you can very well see. Most of those are inactive or clone accounts. Am I speaking for the mods? Yes. They are right. When you guys (and myself especially) create so many accounts, it does that. Also, those are people that came here once or twice and never came back. Another forum I am at solved that problem though: they deactivate ALL accounts every half year, then send you an email to get your reactivated. It trims down the dead accounts. Can also lead to the death of clone accounts, as I have forgot more than half of the email addresses to mine.
