Ok, i was trying to take screen captures using WinMedia player and Kazaa ... well what happened is i got my mediaplayer's skin ... but the area where the vid was, was black. The same wiht kazaa, now this is my first time trying to use screen captures outside of games. now i'm getting kinda confused as to why i can't take a screen capture, do i need a certain program to do that? Or is there a specific way of doing it with media player ... can somone help me ... I have a feeling that the answer to this is going to be a very simple stupid one too ... But thanks for any oen helping me out.

The standard screen capture function in windows won't work with most video players because it uses an overlay to display the video.

I suggest getting Virtual Dub. (use google) it processes & displays video without the overlay, allowing screencaps. It does lots of other cool stuff, too.
