Normal Person: "I just got OOT for GC, I never played it on the N64, I've been playing and can't figure out how to fid the stick at the begining of the game, how do I do it?"

Why choose? I'm in favour of both and I don't even play them.sebastiananderson32 wrote:Whats better Metriod Prime or Ocarena of time?

Seriously, putting your opinions across so bluntly and agressively makes your opinions seem less worthy of reading. No offense intended to you, but that was really annoying to read.Jace Tsunami wrote:Are you serious? That is by far no contest. For one programing wise N64 v.s. GC. Ocarena loses. Story, Ocarena loses, characters, Samus is hoTT, link is not, Ocarena loses, this goes on, in comparison, Prime wins, and will always win.sebastiananderson32 wrote:Whats better Metriod Prime or Ocarena of time?
That was th stupidest question, EVER.
Try comparing to equal games together, hmm...?

it reflects how i was typing. I felt that way, the question was just so dumb. i don't know, i felt like I was rambling and such, but after typing it, who the fuc really cares? That's what I was thinking and went ahead and hit submit.Roke wrote:Seriously, putting your opinions across so bluntly and agressively makes your opinions seem less worthy of reading. Ocarina of Time wins: more bosses (more variety), and minigames up the @$$.
But Metroid Prime is off the scale on the immersion factor thanks to execution of the perspective.
I like both. Metroid Prime will be getting a video tribute from me... as will the new Zelda...and the RE games.... and Eternal Darkness...

Like Zerophite said already there's no comparison.
What most people have been doing is comparing the OT that was just re-released on GC (you can't say it's a new game because some people didn't play it before, the fact is the game is not new) to Metroid Prime. If that's the scenario, then yes Metroid wins.
They're both excellent games, however, and despite being a bit dated OT still gives me the same feelings I had when I originally played it.

Everyone is not the same as you.
Get over it.
And lighten up.

Well, you need a fire flower, or at least a mushroom. If you have the flower then blast him to pieces and jump over his fireballs, if you stay at the left side of the screen the hammers should reach you. If you only have a mushroom just blitz him, take a hit then use your temporary invincibility to grab the axe and chop the bridge.
Also, melee fighting is easy, you just have to get the Z+down+A back flip dodge down.
Ahh now that I've inflated my head a few sizes with me own geekyness back to the topic.
I haven't played the re-make of Ocarina but I agree that Zelda vs' Metroid is a of a poor match up. Zelda vs something like Dark Cloud (not that I ever played that but I think I know what you do in it) or even Devil May Cry (though that's a bit of a long shot). And Metroid should be up against something like Halo.
Heck, even one-on-one between Samus and Link (for the sake of this battle we'll say Adult Link) is a tough call. Cus, like Link would be all banging on Samus with his sword but yah know, she's got that power suit on so she'd like, kick him but Link would pull a Z+down+A and back flip away, then he'd whip out his bow and he be light "Arg!" and all shootin' Samus but it's just a crappy bow so Samus would like shoot at him but "Gah!" Link has a mirror shield so... Hmm, Link might be able to ping Samus to death, but I think she'd be to smart for that and start using missiles, but Link's pretty nimble so I don't thing that'd work.
Did you hear someone snatched up the movie rights to Metroid? I hope that's not true you just know they'd make a total mockery of Samus. Probably get Brittany Spears or J Lo to play her. The only way that movie would be good is if Samus never took her helmet off and never said anything. That, or if Captain Nintendo was in it.
Ironic that I posted in the "What would it take for you to get a life" thread before this one >_>
