I've been thinking about how sick alot of hentai is, and I was wondering if there is anything sinful about it. Can people go to hell for making or looking at this stuff? I don't mean to get all whacky, this is just a concern of mine, so take it easy, and try to give me an honest answer.

First off, interesting post. I agree that some Hentai is pretty sick. Things like rape and blackmail are not considered "normal" in any religion. However, whatever gets you off (pun intended).

As for "sinful," that really has to do with your faith/religion/beliefs. I guess this is gonna be really hard to post since I can see a lot of religious flames (and I do not intend to be that way). Basically, if you are a Judo-Christian or some religion semi-related to this, you could infer that it is sinful from religious texts. Lust is a sin yes? Pornography isn't considred kosher in the church/synagogue?

However, on top of all this, again, is your own belief system. It's not really for anyone on the .org to say "X is wrong. Y is right." Everyone has their own belief system and makes their decisions based on that. If you are Judo-Christian, consult a priest/rabi.

Argh! Forgot the reason for the post. I don't think people go to hell for making or looking at this stuff. It's not like a 1:1 relationship: 1) watch hentai 2) go to hell.

If you have a Christian belief system, you know that our sins don't condemn us and we are saved and forgiven through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ (again, <b>If</b> you are a Christian. Not: "THIS IS HOW IT IS, I AM RIGHT"). That's not to say that because we are forgiven it is ok to sin, however basically our sins do not condemn us straight to hell. What saves us is not our good deeds (or what sends us to hell isn't our bad deeds), it's our faith in God.

This could also be extrapolated to Judaism/Islam. They may not believe in Christ, but they still have the same fundamental belief system on God and forgiveness.

Again, I realize the religious context of this post and am only posting my ideas and or thoughts. Not condemning or condoning any one religion.
