nice speech, lots or rhetorical questions, Image

that phrase, get a life, always confused me. I have a life, coming to the forum in some ways enriches it, because I can discuss stuff that otherwise I wouldn't be able to and you always have the chance of bumping into people weirder than you. I doubt that I'll always come here because well, I'll be other places but at the minute the forum offers a nice distraction from the horror of school. I much prefer my life to other peoples who would generally be considered to have a 'healthier lifestyle', mine is far more interesting, by my standards anyway.

In a month I'm going to be in a really rural part of India, the tribe there scalped people up to 7 years ago and have never seen someone like me. By alot of our standards they don't seem to have a life but in many ways I'm sure that it's much fuller than any or ours. Anyway there's my piece, which has no real point at all..............aww well, I'm still keeping my computer.

"you have no life, get a life" that sort of refrence to a life.

This "life" is defined by the people who own them. When you have things tha you wish to be doing, that you know would occupy most of your time, yet you're spending all your time with time wasters and accomplishing nothing, this is having no life.

To many people, the org is a time waster. They come to the forums and chat all the time, yet don't get anyhting done that they want to. And as a lot of these people constantly admit, they have no life.

Now, I'm not so far off as to have NO life, but it's a very small one. Away from the music scene there isn't much for me in Dallas. If I didn't go to all the cocnerts I do, or know all the bands I know, I'd very well have no life there, as I did for a couple years or so.

The music scene I'm so involved with is one of the things that pushes me to have a life, but so is surfing, my friends, and the various other things i mentioned in my original post. Now that i have all those things, i'm finding I have a full life. this is what it took for me to get a life, and this is the point of this thread. What would it take for you to get a life, and would you still come?

So you see Wyklith, it was never about society judging you, it was about you judging yourself. Most people here would freely admit they have no life, and since they labeled themselves that way, they can easily label themselves as having a life. Yet considering most havn't done this, back to the point of the thread, what would it take?

So your long attempt to show wisdom and flame me was really worthless, (tho it did show high intelligence, as it was well thought out) none of those thigns you said were any of my thoughts at all, so you never proved me wrong because I'm in full agreence with you. Tho however, back to what i am thinking about, since you're so opinionated, what do you think of self judgement?

Would you say you do, or don't have life? If you do, you still come, why? If you don't, and suddenly you found you did, would you still come, why or why not?

Dude. My post had absolutely nothing to do with you. You really should get over yourself.

it was i direct conflict with what I said. So whether it was with ME or not, it was definetly with my words.

Grow up. What makes you think you're so hott either? You disagreed with what I said, you defined a "life" as you saw it. And I disagreed with what you said ebcause i made this topic, and your psot was OFF topic. The point of the thread was HAVING a life, not WHAT IS a life.

I was simply re explaining the point of the thread, why I made it. Hoping for responces from everyone that responded to your post. The types of responces I was originally shooting for.

Maybe you should get over yourself?

Sure I said you flamed me, but you flamed the general idea. Shot it down and said it was dumb, then redefining your own meanings. That general diea was mine, you didn't have tot ake what I said so personaly, i even coplemented you for having uch in depth opinions.

But again all I did was put the topic back ON topic, nothing more.
