Go there to download the new Kenshin Promos Toonami is showing. I actually changed my opinion, in the promo they say things like "Manslyer" and "Hitokiri Battousai" and "Kill" and "die". I think Toonami might just do Kenshin some justice. Watch both the Long and the 30 second promo for more shots of what Toonami will show.

Hopefully they never show the Kyoto arc. If there is a god, he/she/it will stop them from showing it. The butchery of the anime would be too much.

lmao .... and how come himura sounds more feminine with a male american voice actor ... when ,i think, his japaneese counterpart .. is a woman?

Yeah, I actually think he sounds homo-sexual, but that's just me. Yes, Kenshin's VA was a female, but she does a very effective job between "Himura Kenshin" and "Battousai." Although this is the other Kenshin thread, I believe the reason Kenshin's VA is a female is because well...Kenshin has a pretty small frame, long red hair, etc. Although he's not a girl or gay, they wanted to imply a more gentle personality. If you had Sano's voice with his Osakaben dialect, you'd think Kenshin was a gangster

Another great moment will be explaining the "manslayer" part (since the promo has that name).

"Well he doesn't *really* slay men perse. He sends them to the next dimension. Himura the send-them-to-the-next-dimension...er"

yea .. but i agree on that VA comment .. it was done well in japaneese .. and ive heard the dub .. kenshin .. just doesnt sound right .. and i dislike his sentance structure and wording when hes "Himura" ... its not as funny or amusing as it was in japaneese .. and The American "Battousi" jut didnt have the same emotion behind it .. everyone .. d\l some samples .. and see if you agree or not.

we ALL know they're going to completely butcher RK, no matter what arc they're showing. I hate MEDIA BLASTERS for doing this.

It also sounds like they completely re-did the dub version for toonami. Kenshin sounded different. I liked the original DUB...
