The Congressional Budget Office ALWAYS misses budget projections. Not to long ago they were projecting that we should be in a budget Surplus right now.

As for Bush screwing over the economy, The President really doesn't have that much control over economic factors. Alan Greenspan has more to say over the economy then the President. And you can argue that Bill Gats had more to do with our current economic position then Alan Greenspan :D

:?: ... have you looked at the price tag on the military movement lately?

I'm not going to get started on that again...but the man's idol was Reagan and look at the debt racked up back then. It's the same thing all over again and the 80's recession sucked very much bad. And this time, inflation and world economics won't allow for such a big bounce back...which, though partly credited to the Gulf War, look what crap in the Mid east took place because of it.

nah,...that's not what he wants 8) You have to treat states with basic rights, wages, legal blah blah blah...

It's just much easier to occupy, set up your leaders (who may not always keep going through it your way *eherm taliban cough* ) put a military base in and own parts of it...financially.

It's evil but it works

between $9 and $13 billion dollars, or roughly between 0.0009% and 0.0013% of the national GDP.

Well you can argue that Reagan encouraged government spending, resulting in a stronger dollar. A stronger dollar encouraged International investment in US companies while at the same time creating higher Interest rates. Higher interest rates led to a decline in inflation.

However, It is my assertion that the economic policy of Reagan like other Presidents did not have as large an impact as politicians would like us to believe.

well, if you are going to think that way then there is nothing I can say to change your views, but the last thing I noticed from the Reagan admin was a stronger over all economy. Though I have to agree, thanks to him some people got better off...
